Our previous events have included:

Lingkod Timog sponsored the Naval Station Newport celebration of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month on May 21, 2009 at the Chapel of Hope. Philippine Navy Captain Armando Heredia was the guest speaker.  Mike Dalisay played the guitar, Evelyn Lim performed a love song, and Cely Heredia played the piano.  Food was served by Fred Bebe, Jun and Dottie Sanchez, and Tony Cercena.  Doy Heredia and Tony Cercena were also speakers in the Naval Station Regional Health Center celebration on May 26, 2009.


     

Highlighted joint partnership in medical missions with the Philippine Navy and Marines by hosting a community dinner for the visiting Vice Admiral Ferdinand Golez, Philippine Navy Flag officer in Command on December 7, 2008 at Jacky's Galaxie Restaurant in Bristol, Rhode Island.

Joint fundraising with St. Lucy's Church through a musical evening of classical, broadway and Filipino folk songs featuring Anthony Lim, tenor; Katrina Saporsantos, soprano; Cely Heredia, piano; Verna Westhaver, organ, piano & handbells; Deborah Walmsley, handbells and the St. Lucy's Choir at St. Lucy's Church in Middletown, Rhode Island on October 10, 2008.



Hosting the Consular Outreach of the Philippine Consul General Cecilia Rebong of New York in Newport, Rhode Island on August 12, 2006.
