2010 Activities:

    June 23, 2010 - Hosted dinner reception to honor Lingkod Timog co-founder and Commandant Philippine Marine Corps, Major General Juancho Sabban, AFP who was a speaker in a Naval War conference.




    August 15, 2010 - Served food during welcome lunch for Naval Station Newport RI students

    July 27, 2010 - Raised funds and donated to treatment of Fretzie Oyao

    July 17, 2010 - Hosted lunch for visiting Medical Mission 2010 Philippine volunteer Carlette Pama and party

    June 10, 2010 - Co-hosted lunch and served food during Asian American and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month speakin event at Naval Station Newport RI 

    May 16, 2010 - Informational display at Asian American and Pacific Islanders Heritage Month celebration at Naval Station Newport RI 

    May 14, 2010 - Co-hosted despedida for Consul General Rebong in West Roxbury, MA 

    April 17, 2010 - Participated in Decisions Philippines 2010 voter education at Harvard and U Mass, and related dinner events.

Lingkod Timog sponsored the Naval Station Newport celebration of the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month from May 21-26, 2009 at the Chapel of Hope. Philippine Navy Captain Armando Heredia was the guest speaker.  Mike Dalisay played the guitar, Evelyn Lim performed a love song, and Cely Heredia played the piano.  Food was served by Fred Bebe, Jun and Dottie Sanchez, and Tony Cercena.  Doy Heredia and Tony Cercena were also speakers in the Naval Station Regional Health Center celebration on May 26, 2009.
     

Highlighted joint partnership in medical missions with the Philippine Navy and Marines by hosting a community dinner for the visiting Vice Admiral Ferdinand Golez, Philippine Navy Flag officer in Command on December 7, 2008 at Jacky's Galaxie Restaurant in Bristol, Rhode Island.

Joint fundraising with St. Lucy's Church through a musical evening of classical, broadway and Filipino folk songs featuring Anthony Lim, tenor; Katrina Saporsantos, soprano; Cely Heredia, piano; Verna Westhaver, organ, piano & handbells; Deborah Walmsley, handbells and the St. Lucy's Choir at St. Lucy's Church in Middletown, Rhode Island on October 10, 2008.



Hosting the Consular Outreach of the Philippine Consul General Cecilia Rebong of New York in Newport, Rhode Island on August 12, 2006.
